Mary's father was John Carman and her mother was Mary Crowfoot/Carman.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert Carman and Mary Carman.  She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Robert, John, Simon, Simon, James, William, Henry, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Mary and Virtue.  She died on December 15th, 1815.1
