Male George Illsley

George was born on April 7th, 1833 in Blackfordby, Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire/Derbyshire, England.1   George's father was Henry Illsley and his mother is Hannah Redfern.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Illsley and Elizabeth Bath. He had two brothers and four sisters, named John, Joseph, Sarah, Jane, Ann and Rachel.  He is the fifth oldest of the seven children. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Henry, William, Gilbert, Francis, Mary, Elizabeth and Robert.

George's family with Catherine Dawson

George and Catherine were married in a religious ceremony in 1851.  They had three sons and five daughters, named John, Joseph, George, Rachel, Jane, Susanna, Emma Dawson and Maria Dawson.
