William Cookson

William was born in December 1870 in Preston, Lancashire, England.¹ William's father is Thomas Cookson and his mother is Ellen Walmsley. His maternal grandparents were Joseph Walmsley and Ann. He has two brothers and two sisters, named Richard, Arthur, Eleanor and Ann. He is the oldest of the five children.
