Berta was born on April 4th, 1913 in Szeged. Berta's father was Kehl Dániel and her mother was Heim Elizabeth. Her paternal grandparents were Nikolaus Kehl and Magdalena Blum; her maternal grandparents were Heim Ádám and Götz Magdolna. She had three sisters named Anna, Magda and Liza. She was the second oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 83 on December 9th, 1996 in Szeged. The funeral took place in Szeged Alsóváros temetője II/b.
