Donald Vyhlidal, 73, of Morse Bluff died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.
He was born March 28, 1939, in Morse Bluff to Cyril and Barbara (Brousek) Vyhlidal. He had lived his whole life on the farm at Morse Bluff. He farmed and raised cattle on the farm at Morse Bluff. When he was younger, he played drums in his fathers' band.
Don Vyhlidal married Shirley (Zoubek) Padrnos on Aug. 31, 1985, in Fremont.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Morse Bluff.
Survivors include: his wife, Shirley Vyhlidal of Morse Bluff; a stepson, Don Padrnos of Fremont; a stepdaughter, Debbie Iemmiti of Staten Island, N.Y.; a sister, Hattie Pabian of David City; 16 stepgrandchildren; and nine step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a stepson.
The funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morse Bluff. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Moser Memorial Chapel in North Bend with a vigil/rosary at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Catholic Cemetery at Morse Bluff.
Memorials may be given to the family.
