Donald George TOMAN 
Donald George was born on April 30th, 1922 in Portland, Oregon.1 Donald George's father was Julius Michael TOMAN and his mother was Sadie Jane PUTMAN. His paternal grandparents were John TOMAN and Antonia ZITKA; his maternal grandparents are Willard PUTMAN and Sarah HEATHERINGTON. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Julius Willard, Charles Edward, Robert Louis, Gerald Michael, Daniel Patrick, Helen, Pauline Louise, Rosemary Francis, Living and Living. He died at the age of 77 on July 7th, 1999 in Maple Valley, Washington. He was buried in Tahoma National Cemetery.General Notes

TOMAN, Donald G. Sr., 77, of Renton, July 7.
Don's eye was injured during birth by the mid-wife. Don was taken to Omaha, by his father, in 1932, but they couldn't do much with it. It didn't focus correctly, and eventually, has lost sight with it.
In his youth, Don was an aggressive tennis and basketball player. I received this information from Vi, in May of 1996. She also mentioned that Don, many years ago, had been in a car accident and suffers from bad knees and back problems because of it.
After his wife s death, which was shortly after the birth of their last child, Debra, Don was left with all the children alone. His brother, Bob and Lettie, offered to car for Debra who was only a new born. After a year, Bob and Lettie adopted her.
Still struggling with getting the kids to school and trying to work and care for a pre-schooler,(Raymond), he moved to Renton and had a TV repair shop and later received a job for Boeing, and a friends wife, took care of Raymond. He then married Vi in June of 1959, after school was out. Vi had a son, Robert, that was the same age as James. They lived in Renton for two years, then Don and Vi's father and the older kids, built a house, out in the country, where they live now, in 1996, on 2 1/2 acres.

Donald George and Bernita Grace (Nita) were married in a religious ceremony in Cour d' Alean, Idaho. They had five sons and two daughters, named Daniel, Living, Living, Living, Living, Living and Living.

Vi, Donald's second wife, was the Maid of Honor at Don's and Nita's wedding.
Vi knew Nita from working together at Boeing, during the war.
