Michael was born in 1832 in Douro, Peterborough, Ontario.1 Michael's father was Thomas TOBIN and his mother was Jane CLIFFORD. His paternal grandparents were John TOBIN and Ellen TOBIN. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William, John, Edward (Ned), Thomas, Ellen, Mary and Hannah. He died at the age of 85 on March 29th, 1917 in Garfield, Hancock Co., Iowa.
