Sister Mary Thomasine was born on March 3rd, 1914. Sister Mary Thomasine's father was John Francis O'CONNOR and her mother was Muriel Elizabeth CONNOR. Her maternal grandparents were James H CONNOR and Kate MAY. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Father Jack, James Hoey, Eleanor Marie, Louise, Betty and Peggy. She was the second oldest of the seven children.General Notes

Sister Mary Thomasine O'Connor, 84, a Sister of Charity of Leavenworth, Kan., died July 8 in Leavenworth.
Rose Catherine O'Connor was born March 3, 1914, in Hartford, Kan., to John and Elizabeth Connor O'Connor.
She received her early education at Sacred Heart, Omaha, Neb., and District 28 and Hartford High School. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in nursing education from Saint Mary College in 1938.
She entered the religious community of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth on Sept. 1, 1936, and made her profession of vows on June 28, 1938.
O'Connor had been a surgical floor supervisor, ward teacher, instructor, director and administrator in Colorado; Butte, Mont.; Helena, Mont.; Kansas City, Kan.; Topeka, Kan.; Las Vegas, N.M.; Leavenworth; and was supervisor of the geriatric division at DePaul Hospital in Cheyenne from 1966-1967. She retired to the Mother House in 1984 and served in the Craft Center. She retired to the Ross Hall Community in July 1995.
O'Connor is survived by two sisters, Betty Ann Hoffhines of Tonganoxie, Kan., and Peggy Jean Hogan of Wichita Kan.; and several nieces, nephews and one cousin.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Leavenworth. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Leavenworth.

Arrangements are under the direction of Belden-Sexton-Sumpter Chapels in Leavenworth.
