Ann was born in June 1835 in Canada.1   Ann's father was Joseph LOVELY and her mother was Catherine CURREN.  Her paternal grandfather was Peter LOVELY and her paternal grandmother is Ann HANNASHEEN; her maternal grandparents are John CURREN and Ann REILLY. She had nine brothers and a sister, named Peter, Thomas, William, Dominick, James, John, John, Joseph, Patrick and Margaret.  She died at the age of 49 in 1884 in Arcadia, Carroll County, Iowa.2

‌Ann and James were married in a religious ceremony on November 30th, 1882 in Arcadia, Carroll County, Iowa.3
