John JANDA 
John was born on May 29th, 1894 in Plattsmouth, Cass, Nebraska. John's father was Frantisek JANDA and his mother was Aloysia CHMELKA. His paternal grandparents were Thomas JANDA and Marianna SEDLACEK. He had four brothers and four sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Frank J, Fred, Charles Frank, Stuart, Frances (Fanny), Albina, Victoria, Mary Margaret and Baby. He died at the age of 43 on January 12th, 1938 in Palmer, NE.General Notes
He moved to Havelock Nebr. where he made his home with a brother and was
employed at the Burlington shops there for many years. In his last years, he
resided on a farm 20 miles southwest of Fullerton, NE. With no apparent motive
he had hung himself in a barn in Palmer NE where he had farmed for the last
several years. A coincidence in this tragedy, his older brother Stuart, hung
himself two years before at his home in Havelock as the result of ill health.
