Verner Joseph GILLICK 
Verner Joseph was born on June 12th, 1921 in Nasewaupee, Door, Wisconsin.1 Verner Joseph's father was Joseph William GILLICK and his mother was Ivene DELILLE. His paternal grandparents were Phillip GILLICK and Anna KENNY; his maternal grandparents are Theodore DELILLE and Emma ROBERTS. He had two brothers and a sister, named John Delille, Theodore Edward and Living. He died at the age of 73 on September 9th, 1994 in Sturgeon Bay, Door Wisconsin.2 General Notes
The obituary is taken from Door County Advocate, Sturgeon, Wisconsin. It states:
"Vern Gillick, 73, 6609 Emerald Drive, Sturgeon Bay, died September 9, at Door County Memorial Hospital. He was born June 12, 1921 in the town of Nasewaupee to Joseph and Ivene (DeLillie) Gillick. He lived and farmed in the Door County area all his life.
Mr. Gillick was a past member of the Door Drifter's Snowmobile Club and a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Feb. 22, 1944 he married Jeanette Pigeon in Green Bay. She survives as due daughters Mary Ann (John) Logerquist, Sturgeon Bay; Darlene (Darreld) Krauel, Carlsville; Kathy Benno and Bill Christensen, Sturgeon Bay.
Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and one foster grandchild, sister Elaine (Martin) Polich, Sturgeon Bay; sister-in-law Elsie Gillick, Winneconne. He was proceeded in death by brothers Jack and Ted; son-in-law Craig Benno and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday at Corpus Christi Church and the Forbes Funeral Home with the Rev. Anthony Birdsall officiating. Burial in Clay Banks Cemetery. The Forbes Funeral Home assisted the family."

Injuries suffered in a tractor rollover three days earlier claim the life of a Nasewaupee farmer Friday.
Verner Gillick, 73, 6609 Emerald Drive, was fatally injured when the tractor he was operating overturned while he was moving a large round bale into his barn.
The 55 h.p. D17 Allis Chalmers tractor with front-end loader was owned by neighbor Douglas Pfister and was going up the slight incline to the barn when the tractor completely overturned, its wheels in the air with Gillick underneath.
John Logerquist, Gillick's son-in-law was in the yard at the time, but didn't see the accident when it happened. He told Mrs. Gillick to call 911 and Douglas Jorns was just getting into his wrecker at Jorns Inc. when he heard the call, arriving at the scene minutes later and lifting the tractor off the victim while the ambulance was arriving.
Gillick, who sustained both head and bodily injuries, was transported to Door County Memorial Hospital where he never regained consciousness until his death Friday.
It was the second tractor accident this summer in Sturgeon Bay vicinity..."
