John W's father was Robert ARNSBY and his mother is Ruth Humphrey MEADOWS.  His maternal grandparents are Wilbourn MEADOWS and Jane WRIGHT. He had a brother and a sister, named Robert and Alice Ann. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Alfred, Arthur, Bertha and Edith.
