Tony's father was Wardoyo (Sam Gien) Subianto and his mother is Djan Ing 723.1747 (Jkt).  His paternal grandparents were Kiem Soen (pabrik Es, Limun, Bioskop Rex) Tan and Roos Nio (2nd wife). He had two sisters named Susan and Rosita.
