Tomé was born in 1756 and his christening took place on January 25th, 1756 in São João Marcos, Piraí. Tomé's father was Antônio (Antônio Cachoeira) de Souza Breves and his mother was Maria de Jesus Fernandes. His paternal grandparents were Manoel de Breves and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents are Bráz Fernandes and Joana do Espírito Santo. He had two brothers and a sister, named José, Domingos Francisco and Margarida.
They had a son named Luiz.

Luiz was born on May 20th, 1828 in Arrozal; Piraí; RJ.1 The funeral took place in 1910.
