Aimery was born in 1225.  Aimery's father was Vicomte Guy de Thouars I and his mother was Alix de Mauléon.  His maternal grandparents were Savary de Mauléon I and Belle-Assez de Chantemerle.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 31 on December 11th, 1256.
