Georges Wells Foster

Georges Wells was born in 1764 in Keysville, Charlotte co, VA. Georges Wells' father was James Foster and his mother was Suzanna Wells. His paternal grandparents were George Foster and Mary Singleton; his maternal grandfather was George Wells. He was an only child. He died at the age of 83 on May 31st, 1847 in Muscogee co, GA.

  Colonel George Foster, of Virginia, a planter of considerable means, had removed his residencee from Prince Edward, in Virginia, to Greene County. He had married, ere he came out to Georgia, a Miss Flournoy, of the old Huguenot blood, and Presbyterian in her leanings.
