Colonel Thomas Carr

Thomas was born on October 4th, 1758 in Spotsylvania co, VA.¹ Thomas' father was William Carr and his mother was Susannah Brooks. His paternal grandparents were William Carr and Chiles. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Walter Chiles, Charles Brooks, Agnes Brooks and Phoebe. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Ann Winston, William, Susannah, Sarah, Mary and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 62 on October 5th, 1820 in Columbia co, GA.¹

General Notes
- Fut enrolé lors de la guerre d'indépendance sous le général Francis Marion. Il fut une fois encerclé par les Tories en Caroline du sud, mais déterminé à ne pas être capturé, il parvint à s'échapper. Il fut deux fois blessé et noté pour sa bravoure. Nommé colonel. Membre du senat de l'Etat. Sa comission fut possédé par son fils William Anthony Carr d'Athens, mais fut détruite lorsque sa maison fut brulée.
