Josep was born on December 7th, 1797 to Sant Martí Sarroca.  Josep's father is Josep Colet and his mother is Maria Miret. He had a brother named Joan.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 49 on February 13th, 1847 in Vilobí del Penedés (Vallformosa).
