Anton was born in 1800 in El Montmell.  Anton's father was Anton Colet Esplugues and his mother is Maria Freixas.  His paternal grandparents were Lluis Colet and Gertrudis Esplugues Calvet. He had three sisters named Maria, Rosa and Teresa.  He was the second youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 62 on June 8th, 1862 in Vila-rodona.
