Mariano was born on December 16th, 1744 to Sant Martí Sarroca. Mariano's father is Mariano Colet Saumell and his mother is Maria Pons Junque.  His paternal grandparents were Gabriel Colet (Sendra) and Maria Saumell. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Joan, Pau, Magdalena and Teresa.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 70 on December 16th, 1814 to Sant Martí Sarroca.
