George Welch

George was born about 1776 in Thorncombe, Dorset, England. George's father was Joseph Welch and his mother was Joan White. His maternal grandparents were John White and Mary Adams. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Joseph, William, John, Mary, Elizabeth, Sarah, Joan, Ann, Lucy and Susannah. He was the third oldest of the eleven children.
