Christiana Smith 
Christiana was born in August 1837 in Newark, Nottinghamshire, England and her baptism took place there on September 6th, 1837. Christiana's father was Benjamin Smith and her mother was Mary Ann (Smith). She was an only child. She died at the age of 78 in November 1915 in Hartlepool, Durham, England. She was buried on December 1st, 1915 in Old Cemetery, Hartlepool.General Notes
Living in Salt House Lane, St Peter at Gowts (High Street), Lincoln at time of 1841 Census, when aged 2 or 3, but then no trace until 1871. Obviously living in Hartlepool in 1851, as was her family, but probably in service and unrecorded. (Sister Lydia was shown as a servant in the McDougle house in 1861, aged 12 or 13.)
1871 Census says born at Willingham, Newark, but should be Collingham, Newark? FMP BMD shows birth registered Q3 1837 in Newark.
Living at 11 William Street, Hartlepool on 1871 and 28 William Street on 1881 Census.
Living with daughter Mary Ann and Thomas Hugill at 47 Thornville Road, West Hartlepool at time of 1911 Census (as was her nephew, William Wilson).
Buried in Plot H81, Old Cemetery, in grave of Mary Ann (Smith), her mother.
