David Reid 
David was born on March 31st, 1833 in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland and his baptism took place there on March 31st, 1833. David's father was David Reid and his mother was Magdalene Low. His paternal grandparents were Unknown Reid and Unknown; his maternal grandparents were George Low and Christian Russell. He had a brother and four sisters, named George Low, Mary, Margaret, Magdaline and Eliza. He was the youngest of the six children.-
