Louisa was born on August 24th, 1874 in Shoreditch, London, England. Louisa's father was James Rayner and her mother was Catherine Lambert.  Her maternal grandparents were James Lambert and Ann Mizon. She had a brother and two sisters, named Arthur Malcolm , Ada and Florence.  She was the second youngest of the four children.
