George Edgar Purnell 
George Edgar was born on May 9th, 1872 in Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales. George Edgar's father was Charles William Purnell and his mother was Sarah Ann (Annie) Newman. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Ernest Thomas, Charles William, Raymond, Herbert, Blanche Annie and Annie. He was the oldest of the seven children. He had a half-sister named Elsie May.
