Louisa was born on September 4th, 1859 in Leckford, Hampshire, England. Louisa's father was Jacob Needle and her mother was Hannah Dowling. Her paternal grandparents were Jacob Needle and Hannah Goodyear. She had two brothers and four sisters, named William, Joseph, Sarah, Elizabeth, Emma and Emma. She was the third youngest of the seven children.-
