Christina (Chriss) was born on August 26th, 1889 in Canning St. North, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Christina (Chriss)'s father was James Douglas McConnell and her mother was Mary Downie. Her paternal grandparents were William McConnell and Mary Ann Price; her maternal grandparents were Andrew Downie and Elizabeth Horn. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Hugh William Douglas, Andrew Stanley, Florence (Floss) and Winifred. She was the third oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 81 on August 27th, 1970 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.-
