David's father was David Goodwillie and his mother was Christian Curror.  His paternal grandparents were James Goodwillie and Unknown; his maternal grandparents were William Curror and Margaret Schort. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Son, William, Christian, Janet, Rachael and Agnes.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 80 on November 7th, 1745 in Burried in Kinglassie.  He was buried on November 9th, 1745 in Kinglassie, Fife, Scotland.
