David Borthwick

David was born on January 18th, 1823 in Inveresk, Midlothian, Scotland.  David's father was David Borthwick and his mother was Margaret Baxter.  His maternal grandparents were John Baxter and Margaret Unknown. He had six sisters named Margaret, Euphemia, Marion, Elizabeth, Mary Ann Smith and Jane.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.
