Probably Mary Boreham, born in Hampton (reg. in Kingston), Surrey in 1851. Shown as 1 mth old in 1851 Census, so most likely born late Feb/early March.
Born and living at Windmill House, Windmill Road, Hampton at time of 1851 Census.
Living at Thorpe Mill, Thorpe, (near Chertsey) Surrey at time of 1861 Census. Note that the person living next door was a Thomas Woods, born about 1797; it's possible that he and William Henry's father were related, and that William Henry and Mary thus knew each other for many years before they married in 1872. The 1861 Census GRO nos. for the two were RG9/791 and RG9/758, so they were also geographically very close together at the time.
Living at 20 St Paul's Road, West Hartlepool at time of 1901 Census.
Living at Friar's Croft, Goathland at time of 1911 Census (apparently having just moved there, as the address she originally gave on the census form was Thorpe Lee, West Hartlepool - this was then crossed out and replaced by the Goathland address; Thorpe Lee was most probably her old house name, derived from the place she lived as a child in 1861). Goathland was probably a short-term residence, as the family must have pretty soon moved on to Lewisham - this being where her daughter Muriel married in 1914 and Mary herself died in Q3 1920, aged 69.
(NB all the census records, BMD records, dates, locations and other information tie together so well that Mary Boreham just has to be the correct wife of William Henry Woods, even without the proof offered by daughter Ethel Mary's birth certificate!)
