Bessie was born in Oatlands, Tasmania, Australia. Bessie's father was John F. Bisdee and her mother was Ellen Jane Butler. Her paternal grandparents were John Bisdee and Ann Green. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Winchester Munn, Reginald, John Hutton, Harold, Edith Mary, Amy Elizabeth, Ellen Ina and Lucy Maria. She died on February 9th, 1927 in Hutton Park ,Tasmania, Australia. She was buried in St.James Anglican, Jericho.-
