Siward was born about 1020 in Denmark.  Siward's father was Bjorn (Biorn) Ulfiusson (Estridsen) Jarl in England and his mother was Unknown. He had a sister named Sybilla (Sibyl).  He was the younger of the two children.  He died in 1055 in York, Yorkshire, England.  He was buried in Galmanho Abby by, York, Yorkshire, England.
