Francis was born on April 4th, 1763 in Charlotte, Virginia, United States.  Francis' father was Jonathan John Wood and his mother was Sarah K.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 81 on May 21st, 1844 in Otter, Bedford, Virginia, United States.
