John J Younkin

John was born on February 6th, 1787 in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, USA.¹ John's father was Jacob Younkin and his mother was Johanna “Hannah” Nicola (Younkin, Neff). His paternal grandparents were Johann Heinrich “Henry” Junghen and Catharina Scherer (Junghen). He had six brothers and three sisters, named Henry, Jacob, Samuel, Abraham, Jonas, Isaac, Elizabeth, Maria and Polly. He died at the age of 52 on December 12th, 1839 in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, USA. He was buried at the John Y. Farm Cemetery, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, USA.¹¹
