Isaac was born on March 13th, 1858 in Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, USA.1  Isaac's father was Eli Minerd and his mother was Mary Ann Baer (Minerd).  His paternal grandparents were Jacob Minerd Jr and Catherine Younkin (Minerd); his maternal grandparents were Baer and (Baer). He had two brothers and four sisters, named Charles, William, Emma, Mattie, Mary and Maggie.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.  He died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia about June 3rd, 1919 at 7017 Susquehanna Street, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, USA.  He was buried at the Saint Peters Lutheran Cemetery, Highland Park section, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, USA.1 1
