Mary was born in 1865 in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, USA.1  Mary's father was Samuel Harbaugh Miller and her mother was Mary Shumar (Miller).  Her paternal grandparents were Jacob H Miller and Mary Harbaugh. She had four brothers and four sisters, named John, George, Joseph, James, Ellen, Margaret, Sadie and Lena.  She was the eighth oldest of the nine known children.

Mary's first family

Mary and Pappy Joe were married in a religious & civil ceremony on December 25th, 1892 in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, USA.1  They had three sons and two daughters, named Thomas, Earl, Jesse, Marie and Maude.


Mary's second family

Mary and Joseph were married in a religious & civil ceremony.1   They had four daughters named Lura, Ivy, Lena and Nellie.
