Anton and Bess were married in a religious & civil ceremony on October 29th, 1919.¹ They had a child of unknown gender named ?. There are no more children.

Family Notes
- Bess suffered the loss of her father in 1919. Later that year, on Oct. 29, 1919, she married Anton C. Beck. He had been born in Aurora, NY, the son of Martin and Alice (Madison) Beck of the West Indies. Bess’s widowed mother came to live with them, and remained for more than a decade, until the mother’s death in 1931.

- ... After Bess died in the summer of 1953. About 4 months after her death, Anton got married again. Bess’s brother Albert was so infuriated that he is said to have called the Homewood Methodist Church and “read the riot act” to the minister who performed the ceremony. Later, Albert is said to have quit the church in protest, and joined the Rosedale United Methodist Church in Pittsburgh.
