Charles, known as Bud, was born on October 14th, 1916 in Hammondville, Bullskin township, Fayette County,  Pennsylvania, USA.1   Bud's father was Carl Rugh Barnhart and his mother was Evalyn Elizabeth Hebenthal.  His paternal grandparents were Jacob Barnhart and Margaret Newill (Barnhart); his maternal grandparents were Charles Sumner Hebenthal and Margaret Hart (Hebenthal). He had three brothers and six sisters, named Neil, James, Joe, Betty, Norma, Hazel, Doris, Janet and Arvetta.  He died at the age of 72 in September 1989.1 

Bud's family

Bud and Janice were married in a religious & civil ceremony on April 16th, 1944.1   They had a son and two daughters, named Charles, Norma and Evalyn.
