William Roberts

William was born in 1781 in Hunslet, Leeds, Yorkshire.¹ William's father was John Roberts and his mother was Mary Nicolson. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Roberts and Esther Leathley. He had two brothers and a sister, named Samuel, James and Rachel. He was the second youngest of the four children.
