Mary Roberts

Mary was born in 1796 in Hunslet, Leeds, Yorkshire.¹ Mary's father was Samuel Roberts and her mother was Ann King. Her paternal grandparents were John Roberts and Mary Nicolson. She had four brothers and four sisters, named William, John, James, Thomas, Hannah, Esther, Sarah and Elizabeth. She was the oldest of the nine children.
