Frances was born in 1829 in Rackheath, Norfolk.¹ Frances' father was John Riseborough. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Riseborough and Susannah Tower. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, James, Mark, Charles, Elizabeth, Margaret and Susan. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 76 in 1905 in Morpeth, Northumberland.²
