John Gale

John was born on June 3rd, 1818 in Leeds, Yorkshire.¹   John's father was William Gale and his mother was Elizabeth Stead. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, William, John, Sarah, Ann and Lydia.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.
