May Parkin

May was born in 1902 in Wheatley Hill, Co Durham.  May's father was Thomas Wakefield Parkin and her mother was Isabella. She had three brothers and four sisters, named William, Thomas, Joseph, Isabella, Edith, Mabel and Ethel.  She was the youngest of the eight children.
