Henry James Harper 
Henry was born on September 28th, 1851 in Spring Mire, Worcestershire and his christening took place on October 3rd, 1851 at St Thomas, Dudley, Staffordshire.1 Henry's father was James Henry Harper and his mother was Elizabeth Haywood. His paternal grandparents were James Harper and Sarah Lees; his maternal grandparents were William Haywood and Mary. He had four brothers and four sisters, named William, Ezekiel, John, Joseph, Mary, Sarah, Dinah and Mary. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 67 in 1918 in Sunderland, Co Durham.2 -
