John Gale

John was born on November 19th, 1828 in Leeds, Yorkshire.¹   John's father was William Gale and his mother was Elizabeth Stead. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, John, William, Sarah, Ann and Lydia.  He was the second youngest of the seven children.
