Sarah was born in 1845 in Coventry, Warwickshire.  Sarah's father was Charles WRIGHT and her mother was Susannah BARR.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas WRIGHT and Mary PLESSEY; her maternal grandfather was John BARR and her maternal grandmother is <Unknown>. She had a brother and three sisters, named Charles, Mary, Eliza and Susannah.  She was the oldest of the five children.
