William was born in 1750 in Mancetter, Warwickshire and his baptism took place there on April 29th, 1750.¹   William's father was Thomas WILLSON and his mother was Elizabeth <UNKNOWN>. He had four sisters named Elizabeth, Mary, Ann and Catherina.  He was the third oldest of the five children.
