Arthur was born in 1868 in Atherstone, Warwickshire.  Arthur's father was Robert Henry HARGRAVES and his mother was Mary Ann SHILTON.  His maternal grandparents were Samuel SHILTON and Elizabeth <UNKNOWN>.  He was an only child.
