Marie was born on May 31st, 1930 in Nuneaton, Warwickshire and her baptism took place on June 22nd, 1930 in Chilvers Coton Parish Church, Nuneaton, Warwickshire.¹

Her paternal grandparents were William Hurd GODDARD and Clara THOMPSON; her maternal grandparents were Henry BASTOCK and Eliza MOORE. She had four sisters named Dorothy, Lona, Sylvia and Beryl. She died at the age of 75 on January 12th, 2006 in George Eliot Hospital, Nuneaton, Warwickshire. The funeral took place on January 25th, 2006 in Heart of England Crematorium, Nuneaton, Warwickshire and was arranged by DB Devall.
