Параскевия was born in 1789.  Параскевия's father was Иоанн Иоаннов Чичкан and her mother was Феодосия Иосифова (Чичкан).  Her paternal grandparents were Иоанн Василиев Чичкан and Евдокия Феодорова (Чичкан). She had two brothers and four sisters, named Сава, Симеон, Екатерина, Агафия, Евдокия and Евфросиния.  She was the second oldest of the seven children.
